If you want to sign a document using a specific method (such as Swedish BankID or BankID Norway) but do not see it as an option, it means the sender of the document has not enabled it. To fix this, you must contact the sender directly and ask them to update the available signing methods for your document.
When you receive a document via Penneo, the company or person who sent it determines which electronic identification (eID) methods are allowed for signing. Penneo provides the platform, but we cannot change these settings for you.
How to sign with your preferred method:
Find the sender's contact details: Open the original signing request email you received in your inbox. The contact details of the organization or person who sent you the document can usually be found at the bottom of the email or within the message text.
Contact the sender: Reach out to them via email.
Request the signing method: Ask them to enable your preferred signing method for your specific document package.
Once the sender updates the settings, you will be able to refresh the signing page and complete the process using your preferred method.
