If you have been requested to sign a document via Penneo but do not hold one of the electronic IDs supported by Penneo (such as MitID or BankID), you can still complete the process securely. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why isn't my local eID available?
Penneo supports specific regional providers. If yours isn't listed, please use the ID Verifier as the most secure alternative.
What if my passport lacks an NFC chip?
An NFC chip is required for QES status. If your passport is older, contact the document sender to request a Simple Electronic Signature (SES) signing link.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All transactions use end-to-end encryption. Biometric and eID data are used exclusively for identity verification and are not stored for other purposes.
