Accessing finalized Penneo documents via email
Once all parties involved have signed the documents in Penneo, you will receive an email notification. Depending on the security settings chosen for the case file by its creator or sender (such as whether access control options have been enabled), this email will either include the signed documents as attachments for direct download or provide a link to access the signed documents online.
To download the signed documents if they are not attached to your email, follow the instructions relevant to your situation:

Downloading signed documents as a signer in Penneo
If you have signed a document via Penneo, a private archive is automatically created for you. This archive can be accessed by logging into Penneo using the same authentication method you used when signing the document (for example, if you used an eID to sign, you must use that same eID to log in).
To access and download a signed document as a signer, follow these steps:
- Navigate to https://app.penneo.com/.
- Log in using the same method used when signing your documents.
- Locate the case file in your archive. Your documents are most likely saved into your standard folder, which is usually named Unsorted. Click on the case file containing the documents you wish to view or download.
- Select your download option within the case file view:
- To download all documents as a zip file, click Download all documents in the top right corner.
- To download a single document as a PDF, navigate to the documents list on the left side, select the document, and click the Download as PDF button located next to the document key above the preview.
Downloading signed documents as a sender in Penneo
Penneo account holders who have sent out documents for signature can retrieve finalized documents directly from their account archive.
To download signed documents as a sender, follow these steps:
- While logged into your Penneo company account, navigate to the archive by clicking Archive on the left side menu and then select completed.
- Locate the specific case file containing the documents you want to view or download and click on it.
- Choose your download preference:
- To download all documents in the case file as a zip file, click Download in the top right corner.
- To download an individual document as a PDF, scroll down to the documents list, select the document, and click the Download PDF button located in the top right corner above the document preview.
Troubleshooting missing documents in the Penneo archive
If you cannot find a specific document in your Penneo archive, it might be because the case file has not yet been finalized. Finalization occurs only after all concerned parties have signed the documents. Please check your email inbox to ensure you have received a confirmation of finalization from Penneo. If the case file is not finalized, it will not yet appear as a completed in your archive.
