Configuring the Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) integration ensures that users are automatically directed to the correct Penneo company account and can log in via Single Sign-On (SSO) without needing a prior invitation.
Identifying and Locating the Tenant ID
Every Entra ID is identified by a unique hex string known as Tenant ID (format: xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx).
Log in to the Azure portal.
Navigate to Microsoft Entra ID.
Locate the Tenant ID and Primary domain under the Overview or Properties tab.
Connecting Entra ID to Penneo
Only administrators can perform this setup:
In Penneo, go to Configure > Company.
Scroll to Miscellaneous and enter your Tenant ID and Domain.
Click Save changes.
Existing Users
The SSO integration is automatically available for new users. If you have existing users on your Penneo account, they should not log in via SSO initially. Doing so will result in the creation of a duplicate Penneo user. To avoid this issue, please follow the steps below:
Enable Microsoft as a login method in the user settings.
The user must link their Microsoft credentials to their Penneo profile under their login methods.
