Error code 503 can mean different things depending on what you are doing when the error occurs. Most often, you can see the error when you are signing a document or creating a new case file in Penneo.
Signing documents
Should you experience this error while signing or reading your documents, it is because of a communication error with the server.
To fix it, simply reload the page by pressing F5 on your keyboard or the reload function in your browser.
If this doesn't resolve the issue, please submit a request to our Support team and attach an uncropped screenshot - we'll likely be able to spot the cause for the error through the screenshot.
Creating a case file
If you experience this error while creating a case file, the error occurs because our system cannot work with the PDF you are attempting to upload. Please check out this guide: Which files can I upload to Penneo? (file size limits).
This issue can typically be fixed by printing a new version of your PDF. To print a PDF, open the file, click on the print option, and change the printer to Save as PDF. Print the file and save it. Then, upload the new PDF to Penneo.
