To use an integration with Penneo, API keys are required to make the connection between Penneo and the software you wish to use.
API keys are individual and needs to be activated per user, there are no account-wide API keys.
Activate your API keys
Only administrators can activate API keys for users and themselves. If you do not have administrative rights, please contact an administrator on your account if you wish to have API keys enabled on your user.
- Click Configure on the left side menu, then Company.
- Click on the tab Users and find the user you want to activate API keys on, click on the user.
- At the bottom, under Login Methods, checkmark API Keys.
- Don’t forget to click on Update user details.
The user will now have access to API keys on their account.

Find your API keys
- Click Configure on the left side menu, then Profile.
- Click on the tab API Keys. If you are missing this tab, contact your administrator so they can activate API keys for you (as explained above).
Create new API keys
- Click Configure on the left side menu, then Profile.
- Click on the tab API Keys. If you are missing this tab, contact your administrator so they can activate API keys for you (as explained above).
- Press Reset Keys to generate new ones.
