“When signing documents, you cannot use BankID on mobile alone. The reason for this is that the technical solution for BankID on mobile is linked to the SIM card, and any PDF file is too large to be sent through a SIM card.
You can sign documents with BankID on mobile as a One Time Password (BIM OTP). You then sign with a one-time code generated from BankID on mobile along with a personal password." - BankID Norway (Translated from Norwegian)
Abbreviations:
BID = Bank stored BankID (the one you have your personal password for).
BIM = BankID on Mobile (the one through which you can get a one-time code).
Forgot your personal password?
You should be able to find your Personal Password via your online bank. In order to sign with BID - in combination with BIM - you must have BID in the same bank you have BIM at.
Are you missing BID? Or do you only have BIM?
If you don't have a BID - or do not have it in the same bank as BIM - you can establish BID at the bank where you have BIM or set up BIM in the same bank where you have BID.
