Penneo uses Trust1Connector’s software to read identification data from your eID card. After selecting the .be ID as a signing method, you will be asked to download and install this software, in case it is not installed on your computer already. Follow these steps to install it.
In case you don’t have permissions to install the Trust1Connector, we advise you to reach out to your IT administrator and refer them to this guide so they can install Trust1Connector for you and your colleagues by default.
Select which operating system you are using:
Windows
- Click on Download Software.
- A file will be downloaded and will appear in your lists of downloaded files. The file is called Trust1Connecter-intel-3.8.8.dmg (or another version). Click on the file to open it.
- Accept the terms and click on Install:
- The file will be installed, wait until the installation is finished and don’t close the screen before that.
- Click on Finish to finish the installation process.
MacOS
- Click on Download Software.
- A file will be downloaded and will appear in your lists of downloaded files. The file is called Trust1Connecter-intel-3.8.8.dmg (or another version). Click on the file to open it.
- A new page will open. Click on Trust1Connector.pkg.
- You can then follow all the steps to finalize the installation process:

Introduction: Click on Continue.

Installation type: Click on Install.

Installation: enter your password and click on Install Software.

Summary: if the installation was successful, you will receive a confirmation. Click on Close.
- You can choose to move the installation file to the bin or to keep it. You can press either option, the software will still be installed as you are just removing the file.
