Follow the instructions below to use the Penneo Validator:
1. Go to the Validator.
2. Upload the signed document by clicking on Choose document to check.
3. Review the results and compare them with your document.

If you receive an error while using Penneo Validator, it might be for one of the following reasons:
- The validation tool uses our certificate provider’s service. In case the certificate provider is down or does not respond, you might receive an error. Therefore, please try again later.
- The document has been modified, and the certificate is damaged - meaning, the document is invalid.
You can read more about how to verify the validity of a document signed via Penneo in this guide: How to check if a document is valid.
If you are in doubt regarding the document's validity, you are always welcome to contact Penneo's Support department for help.
Please add your Case file ID or the document key (that you can find on the right side of the document) to your support request.
The validator says it is not a Penneo document
When you get this error, it is most likely because the document has not been downloaded correctly. Please follow the instructions on this guide: How to get the signed document when it's finalized.
Refrain from saving the document twice by example:
- After download, the document automatically opens in a browser window. Do not download the document again from here; it is already saved on your computer.
- Do not export your document to a different location on your computer; you can, however, move it to a different location - as you would normally do with other files and folders.
- Refrain from creating a new copy of the document, as this would remove the certificate.
